FAQ'S

Over 10 years experience in education and training: Experientially, theoretically and clinically.
Over 17 years teaching in London schools.

WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
I work with individuals in an open-ended way or for an agreed time period. Shorter term work may require specific objectives agreed from the outset.
I also work with couples and groups.
HOW DO YOU WORK WITH SHORTER TERM CLIENTS?
The session will usually start with an exploration of previous work you may have done, moving on to agree goals for our work together and a suitable time period in order to review outcomes.
You are asked to commit to a minimum of six sessions.
This kind of work can support you in dealing with debt, bereavement, relationship break up, redundancies and other single issues.
HOW DO YOU WORK WITH LONGER TERM CLIENTS?
This work can last anything from one to three years or more.
You may find this kind of work more useful if you have longer term issues such as chronic loss, depression, issues due to adoption or the care system, general anxiety, repetitive relationship difficulties, difficulties at work, issues relating to sibling or parental illness etc.
You may want to work on issues such as isolation or simple mood swings that seem repetitive and exasperating!
I work in a way that encourages a focus on the therapeutic relationship, any repetitive patterns in your life that you want to change or your attachment style and how you embody your relational experiences. In this way, your awareness of how you think, feel and behave in your life becomes much more than intellectual understanding. Intellectual understanding can become cyclical and over time may become part of how our problems are maintained. Thus body work may be incorporated into the sessions where relevant.
WHAT IS YOUR ETHICAL STANDING?
I work within the codes of practice and ethical guidlines of the CABP, UKCP and UKAHPP.
