FAQ

What is your training and experience?
Qualified Psychotherapist with the Chiron Centre (a UKCP accredited training)
Over 10 years experience in education: Learning experientially, theoretically and clinically.
Over 10 years teaching in London schools.
Extensive volunteer work with the homeless and those with mental health issues.
Membership of relevant professional bodies.

Who do you work with?
I work with individuals in an open-ended way or for an agreed time period. Shorter term work may require specific objectives agreed from the outset.

How do you work?
I work in different ways depending on the person I am working with.

There will usually however be a focus on what lies hidden underneath your story, your presentation of your life.

I also work in a way that encourages a focus on the therapeutic relationship. In this way, issues in your life can be felt and understood in the therapy room. Clients sometimes feel empowered to notice that they have unwittingly played a part in their difficulties (through something as simple as an outdated expectation) and this enables them to respond in life differently.

Other times clients have appreciated ways to feel in an embodied and grounded way, rather than to overwork their minds.

I work within the codes of practice and ethical guidlines of the CABP, UKCP and UKAHPP.

Where do you work?
I currently work in private practice in Ealing, W5 and St Margarets, TW1.
The clinic rooms are a 5-10 minutes walk from either Ealing Broadway or St Margarets station and there is off road parking at both locations at certain times.
